Instead, they simply trap and accumulate larger contaminants until they potentially reach dangerous levels of saturation.

It’s only a matter of time before these filters collect too many pathogens and stop functioning. If this happens they can release dangerous amounts of live contaminants into the environment they are attempting to protect. 

MODERN UV SYSTEMS
ARE SUB-EFFICIENT, EXPENSIVE, AND POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS.

Even the most common high-end solutions that offer extra protection by using ultra-violet radiation to decompose contaminants are generally susceptible to reliability issues and pose additional safety risks.

They are also expensive to install, consume a lot of energy and require meticulous maintenance. Dust, weaker bulbs and poor installation can impact the efficacy of these systems and even cause them to fail. If the seals break down, harmful UV light and radiation can leak out of the containment unit and be extremely hazardous to humans.
